This installation is inspired by traditional Chinese temples, drawing on the symbolism of red walls and black roofs to represent life, death, and spiritual protection. The work explores themes of connection, healing, and order within chaos. The broken mirrors hold fragile memories, while the three acrylic layers symbolize the heavens, earth, and underworld which is bound together by tensioned threads into a unified, protective space.

When light hits the work, the shadow becomes part of the work (an echo of spirit, like those glimpsed in temple candlelight).  The shadow merging with the threads and the weaving web to form a heart-like shape, as if its veins were pulsing gently in the light where broken spirits to rest, protect and reconnect.
